Baan Khun Thai (Tomas Morato Branch)

It was a very stressful week..well at least for me, since I now have 2 jobs.. Yes! Aside from my current full time job, I just accepted a part time job last month.. And my body is already craving for a good massage.. so I'm on the search for a good Spa promo.

I've been seeing this Baan Khun Thai Spa at Metrodeal but ignoring it, maybe their ads is not that catchy and very similar to other SPA ads. Anyways, I check for reviews and lucky to find 1. I also check their FB page and found many good reviews, actually they have many videos of different celebrities endorsing their services, they've also been featured to one of GMA's shows. Ok, so I was so convinced and became excited to try this one, bought 2 vouchers, for me and for my hubby, then immediately call Baan Khun for reservation.

October 8 at exactly 7pm, we arrived at the SPA, then I handed the voucher to the receptionist and took some photos at their lobby. 2 female therapist gave us slippers and lead us to their foot wash area, it's great that they offer this foot wash in any service that you will avail, and unlike other SPAs that will only soak your feet to a warm water then dry it after, in Baan Khun they will really wash your feet using I think a color green and mint gel like soap.

After the foot wash, we were led upstairs to our massage room, their rooms are divided only by curtains so we opt to have an open curtain for the both of us. They handed us a short and give us some time to change, after a few minutes the therapists arrived and begin the massage by asking us what pressure we prefer. My therapist started from my leg up to my back and it was so relaxing, she's good though, after I guess 45 minutes, she told me that she will get the herbal balls which is included in the package that we bought, when the both therapist got out of the room, I had the chance to ask Chi how's his massage, and he said it was good as well. Few minutes after, the 2 therapist come back and begin the herbal ball massage, it was hot and relaxing as well, I think it lasted for like 15 minutes. She then ask me to turn around and massage the front part of my body, though the massage on my arms is too quick, I still enjoy the head and face massage.

After the massage, they ask us what do we like to drink water or tea, then told us to proceed to the lobby. When we go down, they are already waiting at the lobby with our drink and our slippers. We just sat there for a while and leave a tip to their tip bag before we leave.

Overall experience is great, so I really suggest that you try this one. And Oh wait! I forgot to tell you that the whole place smells good because of the mint flavor of their air freshener and it really adds relaxation to the guest!

G Beach Resort

Ok. I know this is a bit late, but I still wanted to write a review of this wonderful resort at Bolinao, Pangasinan.

Originally, our choice of resort is the Sundowners Villas, but since it was not available on our chosen date which is the last week of April, we search for other resort in Bolinao, luckily we found G Beach Resort's website, it looks very presentable and attractive, have good reviews and most importantly affordable.

We depart here at Manila around 2am and arrived at Pangasinan proper at around 7am including all of our quick stops, after having a quick breakfast at some fastfood we then headed to Hundred Islands, which is our first destination in Pangasinan, our driver already has a contact there so we easily got a boat ride, 300php per person for boat ride including the life vest, there are vendors there that are offering a Snorkeling goggles for rent, as much as I remember it was 100php each, well some of us rent though, anyways we are a group of around 25 people and so we have to rent 2 boats. Although the owner of the boat makes us wait a bit long because there are no life vest available, it has been fine since the life vest that they gave us was new.

Ok, I don't really want to talk about our trip to Hundred Islands as it was not really good and satisfying but just to warn you, it was so crowded and the beach are dirty, actually the whole place is not well maintain, the boat ride that we rent said that we can have an Island hopping but it was not really an Island hopping, we just pass by the Islands and then they made us choose what Island they will drop us and pick the same at the agreed time, I think most of the boat rental there do the same as they wanted to accommodate more tourist rather than giving a fair service, one more thing is that the main boat terminal do not have enough shower room and don't even have enough water coming from the faucet. So all in all it was more of a nightmare than a trip, I wish we went to enchanted cave instead.

Anyways, let's move forward, after wasting 4 hours or more at Hundred Islands, we just drop by the market to buy lunch and seafoods to cook for dinner then head to the resort, it took us less than an hour to reach the resort from the market, G Beach Resort is almost at the end of the Patar beach so you have to pass through some rough road to get there, they have a sign all the way which we find very helpful, each sign has some cute saying on it, actually you will find a lot of cute sayings and tagline around the resort.

As we enter the resort, we were given our keys and the staff accommodate us to our rooms, by the way, at that time they only have 5 rooms just enough to accommodate a number of people enough for the resort so it won't be crowded for every guest to enjoy all of their facilities, the 3 rooms at the second floor is good for 5 persons and it can be rented for 7500php with breakfast good for 5, the other 2 rooms is good for 10 persons and can be rented for 11000phph with breakfast good for 10. Very affordable considering the rooms are very clean and a hotel like. Staff are very polite and accommodating, they actually gave us a complimentary Ice tea upon check in, just exact for the lunch that we bought from the market.

After eating lunch and resting a bit, we then went to the beach side to play the games that some of us prepared, we really had fun and almost forget that it's getting darker. Around 6pm already when we go back to the resort, actually the resort is a beach front one so you just have to go down a few steps and you are at the wonderful beach and a very fine gold sand already.

Some of us prepared the dinner and some of us enjoyed their warm swimming pool, yes warm.. so even if a wind from the sea blows, you won't really mind it, fancy lights by the pool also adds attraction to it. Although while we were at the pool the resort experienced black out, it was fine since it was back just a few minutes after.

After enjoying a boodle fight dinner, we had a little drink and chit chat at their area near the pool and facing the beach. It was a tiring but amazing day for all of us so went to our designated room after a few hours to get a good night sleep and have a lot of energy for tomorrow's another fun day.

Actually there is so much that happens but this post will have a lot of pages if I wrote all of it down. So let's just summarize this. :)

I woke up at around 7am and the breakfast was already prepared by the staff, they have a list of breakfast where you can choose and order them the night before. Free breakfast for kids. :)

So this day is for chilling or shall I say pictorial day? Haha.. so we just explore the shoreline of the beach and enjoy its waves...

After cooking and eating lunch, we then prepare for check out, I actually don't want to leave the resort but sadly it has to end, :( what a great stay anyways...

By the way for more info you can visit their website at http://www.gbeachresort.com/
they also have a facebook account https://www.facebook.com/GBeachResort/

I believe they have more rooms now because we saw some construction at the side that time for their expansion. And also just beside them and maybe the last at that area is another resort, I think it's a private one, and looks expensive, though we don't get to inquire.

Before exiting Pangasinan, we drop by another market to buy some pasalubong, the City's specialty there are dried fish like danggit, dilis, etc.

So there... I really enjoy our trip to Bolinao specially our stay at G Beach Resort, I would really love to go back and stay there again...

Ace Water Spa (Quezon City branch)

Its been a while, I have been very busy this last few months that's why I am unable to update my blog.

Anyways... I'm writing a review of Ace Water Spa (Quezon City branch).

I got 3 vouchers from Metrodeal (350 each), regular price is 550 for adult and 250 for the kids, but I think it is always on sale in Metrodeal, so wise if you get your voucher first rather than walking in. Reservation not needed.

I was saving this for my husband's birthday last September 7, 2015, and so we went together with our 7 yrs old son.

Upon entering their lobby, you have to show your printed voucher on the reception and they'll ask you to go upstairs after.

On the second floor is their locker and shower room, separated for girls and boys. Upon entering the locker room, they will give you a yellow rubber slippers in exchange with the one you're wearing. I hesitated at first as I can see that guest's shoes aren't organized so well that it might be given to different guest or it might wear off, I think they do not have enough space to keep all the guest's shoes well, but since I don't have a choice unless I won't be able to enter, I have to deposit my shoes.

So I was given a number for the shoes, hair cap and my locker key, there were many people at that time but since it's big enough just like what their website is showing, it can handle a big number of guests.

After putting my things in the locker and changing to swimwear outfit (They are strict on the outfit, you should really wear proper swimwear attire), as usual you have to take a shower first before going to the main area. Towels are not provided so you have to bring your own, but they do have other toiletries like shampoo and soap.

On the main area, the first thing you'll see is there biggest pool with different water massage, they have all kinds of level from soft to hard massage, they also have a massage that will target specific part of your body like your shoulder, back and joints, they also have bubble bath and around this all hydrotherapy massage pool is like a lazy river, where you'll be riding a floating mat (that's what I called it) and then the water flow will take you around while passing through different water splashes (My kid really enjoys this one). Life guards are everywhere so less worry.

There is also a mini kiddie pool with slides and on the right side is the lap pool where you can swim, life jackets are provided from different sizes.

Moving on, when you're a fan of hot herbal pools, you'll love their different flavor and temperature of 6 herbal pools, around each herbal pools is a cold metal where you can rest your head, they also have a super cold pool where you can rinse after relaxing at the herbal pool. On the side of this area are the saunas, I don't feel like trying their sauna that time so I can't say much about it.

And before I forgot, they provide water for the guest so you don't need to bring your own.

They have a restaurant inside which I think offers buffet kind of meal, we didn't try their buffet since my kid wants to eat Jollibee (As usual).

Also, cameras are not allowed inside so most of the pictures here are from their website. Below is the only picture collage I have. :)

All in all, I can say that your money is worth spending here and I will definitely go back to this Spa. I'll visit their Pasig branch next time.

I'll be posting our summer 2016 adventure in a few days, so watch out for it! :)
